RCP has entered into an agreement to acquire 11 acres of the Greenbelt Station project (www.greenbeltstation.com). The development will be a multi-phased mixed-use project that upon completion will include approximately 378 multi-family units and 80,000 square feet of commercial space. Construction of Phase I is expected to start in 2008.

The 11 acre property will eventually include 4 city blocks. The first three blocks will consist of residential homes above ground floor retail. The fourth block will include 35,000 to 55,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.

The development is located inside the beltway and is less than a mile from the Greenbelt Metro station. The site is part of the larger Greenbelt Station master-planned community which, when complete, will contain over 1.2 million square feet of office space, 1.2 million square feet of retail, 300 hotel rooms, and over 2,200 residential units. It is envisioned that Greenbelt Station will be a premier destination point within Prince George's County and also a self-contained community where one can live, work, shop and play.
