Steve Etminani is the principal and founder of RCP Companies. RCP is an entrepreneurial real estate investment, development and advisory firm based in Washington, DC. Since its inception in 2004, RCP has been instrumental in conceiving and implementing various institutional grade projects in partnership with large institutional investors such as the Carlyle Group and Citigroup Property Investors.
For over two decades, Steve has been actively involved in the acquisition, financing, development, asset management and disposition of numerous institutional grade residential, mixed-use, commercial and land projects in the United States and the MENA region. Steve has also been an active development and investment advisor to various institutional investment and lending companies.
Prior to the formation of RCP, Steve was a Sr. Vice President and member of the Executive Management Committee for Atlanta-based Post Properties, Inc., a NYSE listed company. Prior to joining Post Properties, Steve held various senior level positions at the Mid-Atlantic / North-East office of Dallas-based JPI Development Company, at the time, one of the premier development companies in the United States.
Steve has served on the Executive Committee of the ULI – Washington District Council; Washington, DC Mayoral task forces on: Transportation Oriented Development and Commercial and Residential Development. Steve’s projects have won numerous regional and national awards.
Steve has lived in and been educated in the Middle-East, Europe and the USA. Steve earned his BBA degree from The George Washington University and his MA from George Mason University.
Joseph Soleiman is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities for RCP in the Washington, DC area. Joseph has been an active real estate investor for over 10 years where he has been involved in the acquisition, financing, development, ownership and management of a variety of commercial and residential properties. Prior to RCP, Joseph founded The Camvest Group, where he was involved in a number of successful privately funded real estate ventures. In these ventures, he directed the sponsorship, acquisition and/or redevelopment of a diverse array of real estate assets in the Washington, DC area. Prior to The Camvest Group, Joseph was a member of the Concordia Group, a local developer of over 2,500 residential units.
Joseph earned his B.S. in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. In addition, he was an inaugural member of the Hinman CEOs Entrepreneurship Program.
Based in Miami, Fl, Andrea Perl is responsible for the firm’s acquisition activities in Florida. Andrea has over 20 years of real estate experience with Perl Properties of New York, where she was involved in acquisition, financing, design, development, leasing, marketing and management of commercial and mixed-use properties in the Northeastern region of the United States.
Andrea received her B.A. in Communications from the George Washington University and studied Real Estate and Management at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Ali Baheri is a senior hotel advisor for RCP and has been active in the hotel industry for over 20 years. His experience ranges from transactions and investment to operations of high-end full service and boutique hotels. Ali has been involved in numerous projects from ground up developments to existing hotel assets across Europe, Middle East and North America. Amongst Ali’s role in the industry, he was the Managing Director for Molinaro Kroger in both the Middle-East and the United States and has held numerous operations positions for international hotel brands such as Swiss Hotel and Hyatt Corporation.
Ali earned his BS from University of San Francisco and an MBA from John’s Hopkins University
Josh Wright is a development and acquisition analyst at the firm. Josh has over 8 years of experience in hospitality real estate valuation, development and advisory. During this time Josh has preformed valuations and marketing packages for over $2.5 billion worth of hospitality projects. Josh has been involved in numerous projects from new developments to existing hotel assets for brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood and Kimpton. He also has extensive experience in European and Middle Eastern market studies. Previously Josh worked for Molinaro Koger managing a team of analysts and servicing brokers throughout the United States.
Josh earned his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s School of Hospitality in Ithaca, New York
